The 3 different firmness settings of the Alexander Signature Hybrid all make use of the same basic structure, but with somewhat different densities and foams. Each mattress starts with 8 inches of individually-pocketed support coils. The next layer is 1 inch of “SmartFlow” support polyfoam, that’s intended to improve airflow and helps with heat retention. Each firmness level utilizes 3 PCF (pounds per cubic foot foam within this layer. The subsequent layer is 1.5 inches of either 2.5 PCF copper-treated “Energex” polyfoam (Plush), 3.5 PCF copper-infused Energex polyfoam (Medium) or 4.5 PCF slow-recovery memory foam (Luxury Firm). The final layer is 1.5” of “TitanChil” cooling polyfoam. The mattress cover is 1.5” of 4 PCF gel-infused memory foam within a quilted, cooling cloth. This offers a soft texture.
The Alexander Signature Hybrid is produced in 3 firmness settings: Plush (3), Medium (5) and a Luxury Firm (8). Firmness is measured on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the most firm and 1 being the least firm. You can select between Plush, Medium, and Luxury firm. Weight is important on what you would prefer. Generally, heavier people fare better with firmer mattresses while lighter people normally discover they can get more hug and shape on plusher mattresses.
Hybrids do not isolate movement as well as all-foam mattresses typically do, due to the fact that inner-springs permit motion to more easily move through the surface of the bed. The Alexander Signature Hybrid, however, has several foam layers above its inner-springs. These layers aid the mattress absorb movement to a significant extent. When I moved next to my partner, you couldn’t identify much movement in her body. She detailed that she could feel the movement, although it was minimal. In spite of this, the bed still displays good bounce.
In case you have mobility issues, moving around in a reclined position may be challenging. Traditional memory foam usually caused a lot of sinkage that it made it hard to move around. However, if you have too much bounce, it’s easy to disturb rest.
You will face some sinkage with the Alexander Signature Hybrid because of its plush foam top layers. However, this sinking feeling differs from what you would receive with a more conventional memory foam mattress as it’s reduced by the bed’s supportive individually-wrapped coil system. This means you’ll sink, but will still have the ability to move around easily and get out of the mattress without too much effort. While there is some sinkage here, it is not quite as dramatic as it would be on a conventional memory foam mattress. This creates great pressure relief with no stuck-in-the-bed feeling.
The inner-spring coil support foundation of the Alexander Signature Hybrid functions to fortify its edges. This gives a level sleeping surface across the whole bed and helps prevent sinkage and sagging at the edge of the bed. The spring coils are exceptional at setting that strong foundation you require. When I moved in various positions, I felt pretty well-supported. I could feel and you can actually see where I do sink in a little bit, but the sinkage from the bed abruptly ends where the spring coils start. In spite of the plush foam top layers, this mattress is quite supportive, due to the eight inches of individually-wrapped coils in its core. It is quite effortless to get in and out of the bed, and I’m well–supported when I lay on the border, a great advantage for sleep spouses.
The Alexander Signature Hybrid sleeps relatively cool. The inner-spring coils allow adequate airflow, assisting to reduce body heat. The foam layers, which in most cases trap warmth, are infused with cooling gel and copper to prevent this frequent problem. This bed is a great pick for those who want to sleep cool. This hybrid does a great job of dispersing and isolating heat, resulting in a resting feeling that is marvelously cool.

Whenever a mattress is compressed and vacuum-sealed, it has a tendency to have a temporary smell when it’s opened.
