Additionally, the Latex Mattress is available in three firmness levels. The ‘Soft w/topper’ option features a comfort layer built with soft Dunlop latex, as well as a 3 inch Dunlop latex topper. This variant is more expensive because of the inclusion of the topper. The ‘Medium’ and ‘Firm’ models forgo the topper; the ‘Medium’ uses a gentle Dunlop latex comfort layer and a firm Dunlop latex support core, while the ‘Firm’ uses a firm Dunlop latex comfort layer and a soft Dunlop latex support core.

In my opinion, the Alexander Signature Hybrid and the Alexander Signature Series (memory foam) are great mattresses, especially at their price points.

Construction

The three distinct firmness settings of the Alexander Signature Hybrid all use the same general construction, but with slightly varying foams and densities. Each mattress begins with 8 inches of individually-pocketed support coils. The next layer is 1 inch of “SmartFlow” support polyfoam, that is designed to increase airflow and assists with heat retention. Each firmness level makes use of 3 PCF (pounds per cubic foot foam within this layer. The following layer is 1.5” of either 2.5 PCF copper-infused “Energex” polyfoam (Plush), 3.5 PCF copper-infused Energex polyfoam (Medium) or 4.5 PCF slow-recovery memory foam (Luxury Firm). The last layer is 1.5” of “TitanChil” cooling polyfoam. The mattress cover is 1.5” of 4 PCF gel-infused memory foam inside a quilted, cooling fabric. This provides a soft texture.

Firmness

The Alexander Signature Hybrid is produced in three firmness settings: Plush (3), Medium (5) and a Luxury Firm (8). Firmness level is based on a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being the least firm and 10 being the most firm. You can select between Plush, Medium, and Luxury firm. Weight will make an impact on what you would prefer. Generally, heavier people fare better with firmer mattresses while lighter people normally discover they can get more hug and contour on softer beds.

Motion Transfer

Hybrids usually do not isolate movement as well as all-foam mattresses usually do, because inner-springs permit movement to more easily transfer across the surface of the bed. The Alexander Signature Hybrid, however, has several foam layers above its inner-springs. These foam layers help the bed absorb motion to a sizeable extent. As soon as I moved next to my spouse, you couldn’t see much motion in her body. She said that she could feel it, although it was minimal. In spite of this, the mattress still exhibits good bounce.

Sinkage

In case you have mobility issues, moving around in a reclined position may be challenging. Traditional memory foam usually caused a lot of sinkage that it made it hard to move around. However, if you have too much rebound, it’s easy to disturb sleep.

You will encounter some sinkage with the Alexander Signature Hybrid because of its plush foam top layers. However, this sinking feeling is different from what you’d achieve with a more conventional memory foam bed as it’s mitigated by the mattress’ supportive individually-wrapped coil system. This means you will sink, but will still be able to move around conveniently and get out of the bed without too much effort. While there’s some sinkage here, it’s not as striking as it would be about a normal memory foam bed. This makes for excellent pressure relief without that stuck-in-the-bed feeling.

Edge Support

The inner-spring coil support base of the Alexander Signature Hybrid works to fortify its edges. This provides an even sleeping surface across the entire bed and helps prevent sagging and sinkage around the edge of the bed. The inner-spring coils are great at setting that strong core you want. When I moved in a variety of positions, I felt very well-supported. I could feel and you could actually see where I really do sink in a quite a bit, but the sinkage in the mattress abruptly ends where the coils start. In spite of the plush foam uppermost layers, this bed is quite supportive, due to the eight inches of pocketed coils at its foundation. It is quite easy to get in and out of the bed, and I am wellsupported when I lay on the border, a great benefit for sleep partners.

Heat Retention

The Alexander Signature Hybrid sleeps relatively cool. The inner-spring coils allow ample airflow, aiding to diminish body heat. The foam layers, which normally trap warmth, are infused with cooling gel and copper to counteract this frequent issue. This mattress is a great fit for people who need to sleep cool. This hybrid does a fantastic job of isolating and dispersing warmth, resulting in a resting feeling that is wonderfully cool.

Off-Gassing

After an Alexander Signature Hybrid mattress is created, it is compressed, vacuum-sealed in plastic and sent to your doorstep in a box that is marked. Every time a mattress is compressed and vacuum-sealed, it tends to emit a temporary odor when it is opened. This odor is known as “off-gassing.” You should anticipate to experience this with the Alexander Signature Hybrid, but the smell should fade right away.

100 Night Sleep Trial

Nest Bedding provides a 100 night sleep trial on all their mattresses. The company expects that you keep the product for at least thirty days before initiating a return. If you’re unhappy with the bed for any cause at any stage between 30 to 100 nights, you can agree to donate or return it for a complete refund of the purchase price. Any delivery fees will not be refunded. If you opt to go the refund path, Nest Bedding will arrange for the bed to be taken and donated to a local charity. You’lll only have to provide evidence that the bed has indeed been picked up and the company will issue you a full refund. Nest Bedding Alexander Hybrid Unboxing
