In my opinion, the Alex Signature Series (memory foam) and the Alex Signature Hybrid are impressive mattresses, especially at their price points.

The three distinct firmness options of the Alexander Signature Hybrid all use the same basic structure, but with slightly different densities and foams. Each bed begins with 8 inches of individually-wrapped support coils. The second layer is 1 inch of “SmartFlow” support polyfoam, that’s made to increase airflow and assists with heat retention. Each firmness level utilizes 3 PCF (lbs per cubic foot foam in this layer. The subsequent layer is 1.5 inches of either 2.5 PCF copper-infused “Energex” polyfoam (Plush), 3.5 PCF copper-treated Energex polyfoam (Medium) or 4.5 PCF slow-recovery memory foam (Luxury Firm). The last layer is 1.5” of “TitanChil” cooling polyfoam. The mattress cover is 1.5” of 4 PCF gel-infused memory foam inside a quilted, cooling fabric. This gives a pillowtop-like texture.
The Alexander Signature Hybrid is produced in three firmness settings: Plush (3), Medium (5) and a Luxury Firm (8). Firmness is measured on a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the firmest and 1 being the least firm. You can pick between Plush, Medium, and Luxury firm. Weight is crucial on what works for you. Generally, heavier people prefer firmer beds while lighter people normally discover they can get more hug and shape on softer mattresses.
Hybrids do not isolate movement as well as all-foam beds usually do, because inner-springs permit movement to more easily transfer across the surface of the mattress. The Alexander Signature Hybrid, however, has various foam layers above its inner-springs. These layers help the bed absorb movement to a significant extent. When I moved next to my spouse, you could not see much motion in her body. She detailed that she could feel the movement, but detection was minimal. Despite this, the mattress still exhibits good bounce.
In case you have mobility difficulties, moving around while lying down can be difficult. Classic memory foam usually caused so much sinkage that it made it challenging to move around. However, if you have too much rebound, it’s easy to disturb rest.
You will face some sinkage using the Alexander Signature Hybrid because of its soft foam uppermost layers. However, this sinking feeling is different from what you’d receive with a more conventional memory foam bed as it’s mitigated by the bed’s supportive pocketed coil system. This means you will sink, but will still have the ability to move around easily and get out of the mattress without too much effort. While there is some sinkage here, it’s not quite as striking as it would be on a normal memory foam bed. This makes for great pressure relief without that stuck-in-the-bed experience.
The inner-spring coil support core of the Alexander Signature Hybrid functions to fortify its perimeter. This produces an even sleeping surface across the entire mattress and helps prevent sinkage and sagging at the perimeter of the bed. The inner-spring coils are excellent at providing that strong core you need. When I moved in various positions, I felt pretty well-supported. I could feel and you can actually witness where I really do sink in a quite a bit, but the sinkage in the mattress ends where the coils begin. In spite of the plush foam uppermost layers, this mattress is extremely supportive, due to the 8 inches of individually-wrapped coils at its foundation. It is super effortless to get in and out of the bed, and I’m well–supported when I lie on the edge, a great benefit for sleeping spouses.
The Alexander Signature Hybrid sleeps quite cool. The spring coils permit ample airflow, aiding to reduce body warmth. The foam layers, which usually trap warmth, are infused with cooling gel and copper to counteract this frequent problem. This mattress is a fantastic fit for those who need to rest cool. This hybrid does a fantastic job of isolating and dispersing heat, leading to a resting feeling that is marvelously cool.

After an Alexander Signature Hybrid mattress is made, it’s compressed, vacuum-sealed in plastic and delivered to your front door in a box that is marked. Whenever a mattress is compressed and vacuum-sealed, it has a tendency to emit a temporary smell when it’s opened. This odor is called “off-gassing.” You can expect to see this with the Alexander Signature Hybrid, however, the smell should disappear right away.
