Furthermore, the Latex Mattress is offered in three firmness levels. The ‘Soft w/topper’ variant has a comfort layer built from soft Dunlop latex, as well as a three-inch Dunlop latex topper. This option is more pricey because of the inclusion of the topper. The ‘Medium’ and ‘Firm’ options go without the topper; the ‘Medium’ uses a gentle Dunlop latex comfort layer and a firm Dunlop latex support center, while the ‘Firm’ uses a firm Dunlop latex comfort layer and a gentle Dunlop latex support core.
In my opinion, the Alexander Signature Hybrid and the Alexander Signature Series (memory foam) are impressive mattresses, especially at their price points.

The 3 distinct firmness levels of the Alexander Signature Hybrid all make use of the same general construction, but with slightly varying foams and densities. Each mattress begins with 8 inches of individually-pocketed support coils. The next layer is 1 inch of “SmartFlow” support polyfoam, that’s intended to increase airflow and aids with heat retention. Each firmness level uses 3 PCF (lbs per cubic foot foam within this layer. The following layer is 1.5 inches of either 2.5 PCF copper-infused “Energex” polyfoam (Plush), 3.5 PCF copper-treated Energex polyfoam (Medium) or 4.5 PCF slow-recovery memory foam (Luxury Firm). The last layer is 1.5 inches of “TitanChil” cooling polyfoam. The bed cover is 1.5 inches of 4 PCF gel-infused memory foam within a quilted, cooling cloth. This provides a gentle texture.
The Alexander Signature Hybrid is produced in three firmness levels: Plush (3), Medium (5) and a Luxury Firm (8). Firmness level is measured on a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the most firm and 1 being the least firm. You can select between Plush, Medium, and Luxury firm. Weight is crucial on what works for you. Generally, heavier people fare better with firmer mattresses while lighter people generally discover they can obtain more hug and shape on softer mattresses.
Hybrids don’t isolate movement as well as all-foam mattresses typically do, due to the fact that springs permit movement to more easily transfer through the surface of the bed. The Alexander Signature Hybrid, however, has several foam layers on top of its inner-springs. These layers aid the bed absorb motion to a significant extent. As soon as I tossed and turned next to my spouse, you could not see much movement in her body. She said that she could feel it, but detection was minimal. In spite of this, the mattress still features impressive bounce.
If you have mobility problems, moving around while lying down can be challenging. Classic memory foam usually caused so much sinkage that it made it hard to move around. However, if you have too much bounce, it’s easy to disturb rest.
You may experience some sinkage using the Alexander Signature Hybrid due to its soft foam top layers. But this sinking feeling differs from what you’d receive with a more conventional memory foam bed as it is reduced by the mattress’ supportive individually-wrapped coil system. This means you will sink, but will still have the ability to move around easily and get out of the mattress without too much problem. While there is some sinkage here, it is not quite as striking as it would be on a normal memory foam bed. This creates excellent pressure relief without that stuck-in-the-bed feeling.
The inner-spring coil support foundation of the Alexander Signature Hybrid functions to reinforce its edges. This produces an even sleeping surface across the entire mattress and helps prevent sinkage and sagging around the perimeter of the mattress. The spring coils are great at providing that firm base you want. When I moved in various positions, I felt fairly well-supported. I can feel and you could actually witness where I really do sink in a little bit, but the sinkage in the mattress abruptly ends where the inner-spring coils begin. In spite of the soft foam uppermost layers, this mattress is very supportive, thanks to the eight inches of pocketed coils in its core. It is very easy to get in and out of the mattress, and I am well–supported when I lay on the border, a big plus for sleep spouses.
The Alexander Signature Hybrid is quite cool. The spring coils permit sufficient airflow, aiding to reduce body warmth. The foam layers, which in most cases trap heat, are infused with cooling gel and copper to counteract this common problem. This bed is a great pick for people who prefer to rest cool. This hybrid does a wonderful job of isolating and dispersing warmth, resulting in a sleeping experience that’s marvelously cool.

Once an Alexander Signature Hybrid mattress is created, it’s compressed, vacuum-sealed in plastic and delivered to your front door in a box that is marked. Whenever a mattress is compressed and vacuum-sealed, it tends to emit a temporary smell when it is opened. This odor is known as “off-gassing.” You should expect to experience this with the Alexander Signature Hybrid, but the smell should fade quickly.
