In my opinion, the Alex Signature Series (memory foam) and the Alex Signature Hybrid are impressive mattresses, especially at their price points.

The 3 distinct firmness settings of the Alexander Signature Hybrid all use the same general structure, but with slightly different foams and densities. Each mattress begins with 8 inches of individually-pocketed support coils. The second layer is 1 inch of “SmartFlow” support polyfoam, that’s designed to improve airflow and assists with heat retention. Each firmness level utilizes 3 PCF (pounds per cubic foot foam in this layer. The subsequent layer is 1.5 inches of either 2.5 PCF copper-treated “Energex” polyfoam (Plush), 3.5 PCF copper-treated Energex polyfoam (Medium) or 4.5 PCF slow-recovery memory foam (Luxury Firm). The last layer is 1.5 inches of “TitanChil” cooling polyfoam. The bed cover is 1.5” of 4 PCF gel-infused memory foam inside a quilted, cooling cloth. This gives a gentle feel.
The Alexander Signature Hybrid is produced in three firmness levels: Plush (3), Medium (5) and a Luxury Firm (8). Firmness level is based on a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the firmest and 1 being the least firm. You can choose between Plush, Medium, and Luxury firm. Weight is crucial on what works for you. Generally, heavier people prefer firmer mattresses while lighter people usually find they can obtain more hug and shape on softer mattresses.
Hybrids don’t isolate motion as well as all-foam beds usually do, because inner-springs permit movement to more easily move across the surface of the mattress. The Alexander Signature Hybrid, however, has various foam layers on top of its springs. These foam layers help the mattress absorb movement to a large extent. When I tossed and turned next to my partner, you could not see much movement in her body. She detailed that she could feel the movement, although it was minimal. Despite this, the mattress still exhibits great bounce.
In case you have mobility problems, moving around while lying down may be challenging. Traditional memory foam frequently caused so much sinkage that it made it hard to move around. However, if you have too much bounce, it’s easy to disturb sleep.
You will encounter some sinkage using the Alexander Signature Hybrid because of its plush foam top layers. But this sinking feeling differs from what you would obtain with a more conventional memory foam mattress as it’s mitigated by the bed’s supportive pocketed coil system. Meaning you’ll sink, but will still be able to move around conveniently and get out of the bed without too much problem. While there is some sinkage here, it’s not as dramatic as it would be about a conventional memory foam bed. This makes for great pressure relief with no stuck-in-the-bed feeling.
The inner-spring coil support core of the Alexander Signature Hybrid works to reinforce its edges. This provides an even sleeping surface across the whole mattress and helps prevent sinkage and sagging at the edge of the mattress. The spring coils are great at setting that firm foundation you require. When I moved in various positions, I felt pretty well-supported. I can feel and you could actually see where I do sink in a little bit, but the sinkage from the mattress abruptly ends where the coils start. In spite of the plush foam uppermost layers, this bed is extremely supportive, due to the eight inches of individually-wrapped coils in its base. It’s quite easy to get in and out of the bed, and I am well–supported when I lay on the edge, a great asset for sleeping spouses.
The Alexander Signature Hybrid sleeps quite cool. The inner-spring coils permit ample airflow, assisting to diminish body heat. The foam layers, which usually trap warmth, are infused with cooling gel and copper to prevent this frequent issue. This mattress is a fantastic fit for those who want to sleep cool. This hybrid does a great job of dispersing and isolating warmth, resulting in a resting feeling that is marvelously cool.

Once an Alexander Signature Hybrid mattress is made, it is compressed, vacuum-sealed in plastic and sent to your doorstep in a box that is marked. Whenever a mattress is compressed and vacuum-sealed, it tends to produce a temporary odor when it is unboxed. This smell is known as “off-gassing.” You can expect to see this with the Alexander Signature Hybrid, however, the odor should fade right away.
