In my opinion, the Alex Signature Series (memory foam) and the Alex Signature Hybrid are impressive mattresses, especially given the price.

The 3 distinct firmness settings of the Alexander Signature Hybrid all make use of the same general structure, but with slightly different foams and densities. Each bed starts with 8 inches of individually-wrapped support coils. The next layer is 1 inch of “SmartFlow” support polyfoam, that is intended to improve airflow and assists with heat retention. Each firmness level makes use of 3 PCF (lbs per cubic foot foam within this layer. The subsequent layer is 1.5 inches of either 2.5 PCF copper-infused “Energex” polyfoam (Plush), 3.5 PCF copper-infused Energex polyfoam (Medium) or 4.5 PCF slow-recovery memory foam (Luxury Firm). The last layer is 1.5” of “TitanChil” cooling polyfoam. The mattress cover is 1.5 inches of 4 PCF gel-infused memory foam within a quilted, cooling cloth. This offers a pillowtop-like texture.
The Alexander Signature Hybrid is offered in three firmness levels: Plush (3), Medium (5) and a Luxury Firm (8). Firmness is based on a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the most firm and 1 being the least firm. You can pick between Plush, Medium, and Luxury firm. Weight is important on what you would prefer. Generally, heavier people prefer firmer beds while lighter people usually find they can achieve more hug and contour on plusher beds.
Hybrids do not isolate motion as well as all-foam beds usually do, because inner-springs permit motion to more easily move across the surface of the bed. The Alexander Signature Hybrid, though, has several foam layers on top of its inner-springs. These layers aid the mattress absorb movement to a large extent. When I tossed and turned next to my partner, you couldn’t identify much motion in her body. She detailed that she could feel it, although it was minimal. In spite of this, the bed still possesses good bounce.
In case you have mobility difficulties, moving around in a reclined position can be challenging. Classic memory foam frequently caused a lot of sinkage that it made it tough to move around. But if you have too much rebound, it’s easy to disturb rest.
You may encounter some sinkage with the Alexander Signature Hybrid due to its soft foam uppermost layers. However, this sinking feeling is different from what you would get with a more traditional memory foam bed as it’s reduced by the mattress’ supportive individually-wrapped coil system. Meaning you will sink, but will still be able to move around easily and get out of the mattress without too much problem. While there is some sinkage here, it’s not as striking as it would be on a conventional memory foam bed. This creates excellent pressure relief with no stuck-in-the-bed experience.
The inner-spring coil support base of the Alexander Signature Hybrid functions to fortify its edges. This gives a flat sleeping surface across the entire bed and helps prevent sinkage and sagging around the perimeter of the bed. The inner-spring coils are exceptional at setting that strong base you require. When I moved in a variety of positions, I felt very well-supported. I can feel and you could actually see where I really do sink in a little bit, but the sinkage in the mattress abruptly ends where the spring coils start. Despite the plush foam uppermost layers, this bed is impressively supportive, due to the 8 inches of individually-wrapped coils at its foundation. It’s quite effortless to get in and out of the bed, and I am well–supported when I lay on the edge, a big plus for sleeping partners.
The Alexander Signature Hybrid is relatively cool. The inner-spring coils allow adequate airflow, assisting to diminish body heat. The foam layers, which usually trap warmth, are treated with copper and cooling gel to prevent this frequent problem. This mattress is a fantastic match for people who need to rest cool. This hybrid does a wonderful job of isolating and dispersing warmth, leading to a sleeping feeling that’s wonderfully cool.

After an Alexander Signature Hybrid mattress is made, it’s compressed, vacuum-sealed in plastic and sent to your doorstep in a box that is marked. Every time a mattress is compressed and vacuum-sealed, it tends to produce a temporary smell when it is opened. This odor is known as “off-gassing.” You should expect to see this with the Alexander Signature Hybrid, but the odor should disappear immediately.
