Moreover, the Latex Mattress is available in three firmness levels. The ‘Soft w/topper’ variant features a comfort layer made from soft Dunlop latex, in addition to a three-inch Dunlop latex topper. This option is more expensive because of the inclusion of the topper. The ‘Medium’ and ‘Firm’ models forgo the topper; the ‘Medium’ uses a gentle Dunlop latex comfort layer and a firm Dunlop latex support center, while the ‘Firm’ uses a firm Dunlop latex comfort layer and a soft Dunlop latex support core.
In my opinion, the Alex Signature Series (memory foam) and the Alex Signature Hybrid are exceptional mattresses, especially given the price.

The three varying firmness options of the Alexander Signature Hybrid all make use of the same basic construction, but with somewhat varying foams and densities. Each bed begins with 8 inches of individually-wrapped support coils. The second layer is 1 inch of “SmartFlow” support polyfoam, that’s made to improve airflow and helps with heat retention. Each firmness level makes use of 3 PCF (lbs per cubic foot foam within this layer. The subsequent layer is 1.5 inches of either 2.5 PCF copper-treated “Energex” polyfoam (Plush), 3.5 PCF copper-treated Energex polyfoam (Medium) or 4.5 PCF slow-recovery memory foam (Luxury Firm). The final layer is 1.5” of “TitanChil” cooling polyfoam. The mattress cover is 1.5 inches of 4 PCF gel-infused memory foam inside a quilted, cooling cloth. This offers a pillowtop-like texture.
The Alexander Signature Hybrid is available in 3 firmness settings: Plush (3), Medium (5) and a Luxury Firm (8). Firmness is based on a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the most firm and 1 being the least firm. You can select between Plush, Medium, and Luxury firm. Weight is going to make an impact on what you would prefer. Generally, heavier people fare better with firmer mattresses while lighter people generally find they can obtain more hug and contour on softer mattresses.
Hybrids don’t isolate movement as well as all-foam mattresses typically do, because inner-springs permit movement to more easily transfer across the surface of the bed. The Alexander Signature Hybrid, though, has several foam layers above its inner-springs. These foam layers help the bed absorb motion to a sizeable extent. When I turned and tossed next to my colleague, you couldn’t identify much movement in her body. She said that she could feel the movement, although it was minimal. In spite of this, the bed still displays good bounce.
If you have mobility problems, moving around in a reclined position can be challenging. Traditional memory foam frequently caused a lot of sinkage that it made it tough to move around. However, if you have too much rebound, it’s easy to disturb sleep.
You may experience some sinkage using the Alexander Signature Hybrid due to its plush foam uppermost layers. However, this sinking feeling differs from what you’d obtain with a more conventional memory foam bed as it is mitigated by the bed’s supportive pocketed coil system. This means you will sink, but will still have the ability to move around easily and get out of the bed without too much effort. While there is some sinkage here, it’s not quite as striking as it would be about a typical memory foam bed. This creates great pressure relief with no stuck-in-the-bed feeling.
The inner-spring coil support core of the Alexander Signature Hybrid works to reinforce its perimeter. This gives a level sleeping surface across the entire bed and helps prevent sinkage and sagging at the perimeter of the mattress. The spring coils are great at setting that solid foundation you need. When I moved in a variety of positions, I felt fairly well-supported. I can feel and you could actually see where I do sink in a quite a bit, but the sinkage in the bed ends where the inner-spring coils begin. Despite the soft foam uppermost layers, this bed is very supportive, due to the 8 inches of pocketed coils at its foundation. It is very effortless to get in and out of the mattress, and I’m well–supported when I lie on the edge, a great benefit for sleep spouses.
The Alexander Signature Hybrid sleeps relatively cool. The inner-spring coils allow sufficient airflow, assisting to reduce body heat. The foam layers, which normally trap heat, are infused with cooling gel and copper to prevent this frequent problem. This mattress is a fantastic pick for those who want to sleep cool. This hybrid does a fantastic job of dispersing and isolating warmth, leading to a sleeping experience that is marvelously cool.

Once an Alexander Signature Hybrid mattress is created, it’s compressed, vacuum-sealed in plastic and delivered to your front door in a box that is marked. Every time a mattress is compressed and vacuum-sealed, it tends to emit a temporary odor when it’s opened. This odor is called “off-gassing.” You should expect to experience this with the Alexander Signature Hybrid, however, the odor should fade immediately.
