In my opinion, the Alex Signature Series (memory foam) and the Alex Signature Hybrid are great mattresses, especially at their price points.

The three varying firmness levels of the Alexander Signature Hybrid all make use of the same general construction, but with slightly different densities and foams. Each bed begins with 8 inches of individually-pocketed support coils. The next layer is 1 inch of “SmartFlow” support polyfoam, that is made to increase airflow and aids with heat retention. Each firmness level uses 3 PCF (pounds per cubic foot foam within this layer. The following layer is 1.5” of either 2.5 PCF copper-infused “Energex” polyfoam (Plush), 3.5 PCF copper-treated Energex polyfoam (Medium) or 4.5 PCF slow-recovery memory foam (Luxury Firm). The final layer is 1.5” of “TitanChil” cooling polyfoam. The bed cover is 1.5” of 4 PCF gel-infused memory foam inside a quilted, cooling fabric. This gives a pillowtop-like feel.
The Alexander Signature Hybrid is produced in three firmness levels: Plush (3), Medium (5) and a Luxury Firm (8). Firmness level is measured on a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the most firm and 1 being the least firm. You can select between Plush, Medium, and Luxury firm. Weight is crucial on what you would prefer. Generally, heavier people prefer firmer beds while lighter people generally discover they can obtain more hug and shape on softer beds.
Hybrids do not isolate movement as well as all-foam mattresses usually do, because springs permit movement to more easily move across the surface of the mattress. The Alexander Signature Hybrid, though, has several foam layers on top of its inner-springs. These foam layers help the bed absorb motion to a significant extent. As soon as I moved next to my colleague, you couldn’t see much movement in her body. She mentioned that she could feel the movement, but it was minimal. In spite of this, the bed still possesses good bounce.
If you have mobility issues, moving around in a reclined position may be difficult. Traditional memory foam frequently caused a lot of sinkage that it made it tough to move around. However, if you have too much rebound, it’s easy to disturb sleep.
You will experience some sinkage with the Alexander Signature Hybrid due to its soft foam top layers. But this sinking feeling differs from what you’d receive with a more traditional memory foam mattress as it is reduced by the bed’s supportive individually-wrapped coil system. This means you’ll sink, but will still be able to move around conveniently and get out of bed without too much problem. While there is some sinkage here, it’s not as striking as it would be on a normal memory foam mattress. This makes for great pressure relief with no stuck-in-the-bed experience.
The inner-spring coil support core of the Alexander Signature Hybrid works to fortify its perimeter. This gives a level sleeping surface across the entire bed and helps prevent sinkage and sagging at the perimeter of the bed. The spring coils are great at setting that firm base you want. When I moved in various positions, I felt very well-supported. I can feel and you can actually witness where I do sink in a little bit, but the sinkage in the bed abruptly ends where the spring coils begin. Despite the plush foam uppermost layers, this bed is very supportive, due to the eight inches of pocketed coils in its base. It’s quite easy to get in and out of the bed, and I’m well–supported when I lie on the edge, a big benefit for sleep spouses.
The Alexander Signature Hybrid is relatively cool. The spring coils permit sufficient airflow, aiding to reduce body heat. The foam layers, which normally trap warmth, are infused with copper and cooling gel to offset this frequent issue. This bed is a great fit for people who need to sleep cool. This hybrid does a fantastic job of dispersing and isolating heat, resulting in a sleeping experience that is marvelously cool.

Once an Alexander Signature Hybrid mattress is made, it’s compressed, vacuum-sealed in plastic and delivered to your front door in a marked box. Whenever a mattress is compressed and vacuum-sealed, it tends to emit a temporary odor when it is unboxed. This odor is known as “off-gassing.” You can anticipate to see this with the Alexander Signature Hybrid, however, the smell should dissipate quickly.
