Moreover, the Latex Mattress is offered in 3 firmness options. The ‘Soft w/topper’ model features a comfort layer built from soft Dunlop latex, in addition to a three-inch Dunlop latex topper. This option is more pricey because of the addition of the topper. The ‘Medium’ and ‘Firm’ options go without the topper; the ‘Medium’ has a soft Dunlop latex comfort layer and a firm Dunlop latex support core, while the ‘Firm’ uses a firm Dunlop latex comfort layer and a gentle Dunlop latex support center.
In my opinion, the Alexander Signature Hybrid and the Alexander Signature Series (memory foam) are exceptional mattresses, especially given the price.

The three distinct firmness options of the Alexander Signature Hybrid all use the same basic structure, but with somewhat varying foams and densities. Each bed begins with 8 inches of individually-wrapped support coils. The next layer is 1 inch of “SmartFlow” support polyfoam, that is intended to increase airflow and aids with heat retention. Each firmness level makes use of 3 PCF (pounds per cubic foot foam in this layer. The following layer is 1.5 inches of either 2.5 PCF copper-infused “Energex” polyfoam (Plush), 3.5 PCF copper-treated Energex polyfoam (Medium) or 4.5 PCF slow-recovery memory foam (Luxury Firm). The last layer is 1.5” of “TitanChil” cooling polyfoam. The mattress cover is 1.5 inches of 4 PCF gel-infused memory foam inside a quilted, cooling cloth. This offers a pillowtop-like feel.
The Alexander Signature Hybrid is produced in 3 firmness settings: Plush (3), Medium (5) and a Luxury Firm (8). Firmness level is measured on a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the most firm and 1 being the least firm. You can choose between Plush, Medium, and Luxury firm. Weight is crucial on what you would prefer. Generally, heavier people fare better with firmer mattresses while lighter people generally discover they can get more hug and contour on softer mattresses.
Hybrids do not isolate movement as well as all-foam beds typically do, because inner-springs allow motion to more easily move through the surface of the bed. The Alexander Signature Hybrid, though, has various foam layers on top of its inner-springs. These layers help the mattress absorb motion to a significant extent. When I tossed and turned next to my partner, you could not identify much motion in her body. She detailed that she could feel it, but detection was minimal. Despite this, the mattress still possesses good bounce.
In case you have mobility problems, moving around while lying down may be hard. Traditional memory foam usually caused a lot of sinkage that it made it hard to move around. However, if you have too much rebound, it’s easy to disturb rest.
You will face some sinkage with the Alexander Signature Hybrid because of its plush foam top layers. However, this sinking feeling differs from what you’d get with a more traditional memory foam mattress as it’s mitigated by the bed’s supportive pocketed coil system. Meaning you’ll sink, but will still have the ability to move around easily and get out of bed without too much problem. While there is some sinkage here, it is not quite as dramatic as it would be about a conventional memory foam mattress. This makes for great pressure relief with no stuck-in-the-bed experience.
The inner-spring coil support foundation of the Alexander Signature Hybrid functions to fortify its perimeter. This produces an even sleeping surface across the entire bed and helps prevent sagging and sinkage at the perimeter of the bed. The inner-spring coils are exceptional at setting that solid foundation you require. When I moved in various positions, I felt fairly well-supported. I can feel and you can actually see where I really do sink in a little bit, but the sinkage from the mattress ends where the coils start. In spite of the plush foam uppermost layers, this mattress is very supportive, due to the 8 inches of pocketed coils at its core. It is super effortless to get in and out of the bed, and I’m well–supported when I lay on the edge, a great asset for sleeping spouses.
The Alexander Signature Hybrid is quite cool. The inner-spring coils permit ample airflow, aiding to reduce body heat. The foam layers, which in most cases trap warmth, are treated with copper and cooling gel to prevent this common issue. This bed is a fantastic fit for people who want to rest cool. This hybrid does a great job of isolating and dispersing heat, resulting in a resting experience that’s wonderfully cool.

Once an Alexander Signature Hybrid mattress is made, it’s compressed, vacuum-sealed in plastic and delivered to your front door in a marked box. Whenever a mattress is compressed and vacuum-sealed, it has a tendency to emit a temporary smell when it is opened. This odor is called “off-gassing.” You should anticipate to experience this with the Alexander Signature Hybrid, but the odor should disappear quickly.
