This variant is more pricey due to the addition of the topper. In my opinion, the Alex Signature Series (memory foam) and the Alex Signature Hybrid are exceptional mattresses, especially at their price points.

The three different firmness levels of the Alexander Signature Hybrid all make use of the same general structure, but with somewhat varying densities and foams. Each mattress starts with 8 inches of individually-wrapped support coils. The next layer is 1 inch of “SmartFlow” support polyfoam, that’s intended to increase airflow and assists with heat retention. Each firmness level uses 3 PCF (lbs per cubic foot foam within this layer. The subsequent layer is 1.5 inches of either 2.5 PCF copper-treated “Energex” polyfoam (Plush), 3.5 PCF copper-infused Energex polyfoam (Medium) or 4.5 PCF slow-recovery memory foam (Luxury Firm). The final layer is 1.5” of “TitanChil” cooling polyfoam. The bed cover is 1.5 inches of 4 PCF gel-infused memory foam inside a quilted, cooling fabric. This provides a pillowtop-like texture.
The Alexander Signature Hybrid is available in three firmness levels: Plush (3), Medium (5) and a Luxury Firm (8). Firmness is measured on a scale of 1-10, with 1 being the least firm and 10 being the firmest. You can choose between Plush, Medium, and Luxury firm. Weight is important on what works for you. Generally, heavier people prefer firmer beds while lighter people usually find they can get more hug and shape on plusher mattresses.
Hybrids do not isolate movement as well as all-foam mattresses typically do, due to the fact that springs permit movement to more easily transfer through the surface of the bed. The Alexander Signature Hybrid, however, has various foam layers above its springs. These foam layers help the bed absorb motion to a large extent. When I tossed and turned next to my spouse, you could not see much motion in her body. She said that she could feel the movement, although it was minimal. Despite this, the mattress still features impressive bounce.
If you have mobility difficulties, moving around in a reclined position may be difficult. Classic memory foam frequently caused a lot of sinkage that it made it tough to move around. However, if you have too much rebound, it’s easy to disturb rest.
You will encounter some sinkage using the Alexander Signature Hybrid due to its soft foam uppermost layers. However, this sinking feeling is different from what you would obtain with a more traditional memory foam bed as it’s reduced by the bed’s supportive pocketed coil system. Meaning you’ll sink, but will still have the ability to move around conveniently and get out of the mattress without too much problem. While there is some sinkage here, it is not quite as striking as it would be about a conventional memory foam bed. This makes for exceptional pressure relief with no stuck-in-the-bed feeling.
The inner-spring coil support core of the Alexander Signature Hybrid functions to reinforce its edges. This gives an even sleeping surface across the entire bed and helps prevent sagging and sinkage around the perimeter of the bed. The spring coils are great at setting that strong foundation you require. When I moved in various positions, I felt fairly well-supported. I could feel and you can actually see where I really do sink in a little bit, but the sinkage in the mattress abruptly ends where the inner-spring coils begin. Despite the plush foam uppermost layers, this bed is extremely supportive, due to the eight inches of pocketed coils at its foundation. It is quite effortless to get in and out of the bed, and I am well–supported when I lie on the edge, a big advantage for sleeping spouses.
The Alexander Signature Hybrid is relatively cool. The spring coils permit enough airflow, aiding to diminish body heat. The foam layers, which usually trap heat, are treated with copper and cooling gel to counteract this frequent issue. This mattress is a great match for those who prefer to rest cool. This hybrid does a fantastic job of dispersing and isolating warmth, resulting in a sleeping feeling that’s wonderfully cool.

Once an Alexander Signature Hybrid mattress is made, it is compressed, vacuum-sealed in plastic and sent to your front door in a marked box. Whenever a mattress is compressed and vacuum-sealed, it tends to have a temporary odor when it’s unboxed. This smell is called “off-gassing.” You should anticipate to experience this with the Alexander Signature Hybrid, however, the smell should disappear immediately.
100 Night Sleep Trial
Nest provides a 100 night sleep trial on all their mattresses. Nest requires you to maintain the bed for at least 30 days before initiating a return. Any delivery costs will not be refunded. If you opt to go the refund path, Nest Bedding will arrange for the bed to be taken and donated to a nearby charity.
