Additionally, the Latex Mattress is available in three firmness levels. The ‘Soft w/topper’ option features a comfort layer made from soft Dunlop latex, in addition to a three-inch Dunlop latex topper. This model is more expensive because of the inclusion of the topper. The ‘Medium’ and ‘Firm’ models go without the topper; the ‘Medium’ uses a gentle Dunlop latex comfort layer and a firm Dunlop latex support core, while the ‘Firm’ uses a firm Dunlop latex comfort layer and a soft Dunlop latex support core.
In my opinion, the Alex Signature Series (memory foam) and the Alex Signature Hybrid are impressive mattresses, especially given the price.

The 3 different firmness options of the Alexander Signature Hybrid all use the same basic structure, but with somewhat different foams and densities. Each bed starts with 8 inches of individually-wrapped support coils. The next layer is 1 inch of “SmartFlow” support polyfoam, that’s intended to add airflow and assists with heat retention. Each firmness level utilizes 3 PCF (pounds per cubic foot foam in this layer. The following layer is 1.5” of either 2.5 PCF copper-treated “Energex” polyfoam (Plush), 3.5 PCF copper-treated Energex polyfoam (Medium) or 4.5 PCF slow-recovery memory foam (Luxury Firm). The last layer is 1.5 inches of “TitanChil” cooling polyfoam. The mattress cover is 1.5” of 4 PCF gel-infused memory foam inside a quilted, cooling fabric. This gives a pillowtop-like texture.
The Alexander Signature Hybrid is produced in three firmness levels: Plush (3), Medium (5) and a Luxury Firm (8). Firmness is measured on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the firmest and 1 being the least firm. You can choose between Plush, Medium, and Luxury firm. Weight is crucial on what you would prefer. Generally, heavier people fare better with firmer beds while lighter people generally find they can obtain more hug and contour on plusher beds.
Hybrids don’t isolate movement as well as all-foam beds usually do, because springs allow movement to more easily transfer through the surface of the bed. The Alexander Signature Hybrid, however, has several foam layers above its springs. These layers aid the mattress absorb motion to a significant extent. When I tossed and turned next to my partner, you couldn’t identify much motion in her body. She detailed that she could feel it, although it was minimal. In spite of this, the bed still displays impressive bounce.
If you have mobility problems, moving around while lying down may be difficult. Traditional memory foam often caused a lot of sinkage that it made it challenging to move around. However, if you have too much bounce, it’s easy to disturb rest.
You will experience some sinkage with the Alexander Signature Hybrid because of its soft foam top layers. However, this sinking feeling is different from what you’d get with a more conventional memory foam mattress as it is reduced by the mattress’ supportive individually-wrapped coil system. This means you’ll sink, but will still have the ability to move around easily and get out of the bed without too much effort. While there’s some sinkage here, it’s not quite as striking as it would be about a conventional memory foam bed. This creates exceptional pressure relief with no stuck-in-the-bed experience.
The inner-spring coil support base of the Alexander Signature Hybrid works to fortify its edges. This provides an even sleeping surface across the whole bed and helps prevent sinkage and sagging around the perimeter of the bed. The inner-spring coils are excellent at providing that strong foundation you want. When I moved in a variety of positions, I felt very well-supported. I can feel and you could actually witness where I do sink in a little bit, but the sinkage from the mattress ends where the coils begin. Despite the plush foam top layers, this bed is very supportive, due to the 8 inches of pocketed coils in its base. It’s super easy to get in and out of the bed, and I am well–supported when I lie on the border, a great asset for sleeping spouses.
The Alexander Signature Hybrid sleeps relatively cool. The inner-spring coils allow adequate airflow, aiding to reduce body heat. The foam layers, which in most cases trap heat, are treated with copper and cooling gel to prevent this common issue. This bed is a fantastic fit for those who need to rest cool. This hybrid does a wonderful job of dispersing and isolating warmth, resulting in a resting feeling that’s wonderfully cool.

Once an Alexander Signature Hybrid mattress is made, it is compressed, vacuum-sealed in plastic and sent to your front door in a marked box. Every time a mattress is compressed and vacuum-sealed, it has a tendency to emit a temporary odor when it is unboxed. This odor is called “off-gassing.” You can expect to see this with the Alexander Signature Hybrid, however, the smell should disappear quickly.
