Moreover, the Latex Mattress is available in 3 firmness levels. The ‘Soft w/topper’ model has a comfort layer made with soft Dunlop latex, as well as a 3 inch Dunlop latex topper. This model is more pricey due to the addition of the topper. The ‘Medium’ and ‘Firm’ options go without the topper; the ‘Medium’ has a soft Dunlop latex comfort layer and a firm Dunlop latex support center, while the ‘Firm’ uses a firm Dunlop latex comfort layer and a gentle Dunlop latex support core.
In my opinion, the Alex Signature Series (memory foam) and the Alex Signature Hybrid are impressive mattresses, especially given the price.

The three varying firmness levels of the Alexander Signature Hybrid all make use of the same basic structure, but with somewhat varying densities and foams. Each bed starts with 8 inches of individually-pocketed support coils. The next layer is 1 inch of “SmartFlow” support polyfoam, that’s designed to add airflow and assists with heat retention. Each firmness level utilizes 3 PCF (pounds per cubic foot foam within this layer. The subsequent layer is 1.5” of either 2.5 PCF copper-infused “Energex” polyfoam (Plush), 3.5 PCF copper-treated Energex polyfoam (Medium) or 4.5 PCF slow-recovery memory foam (Luxury Firm). The final layer is 1.5” of “TitanChil” cooling polyfoam. The mattress cover is 1.5 inches of 4 PCF gel-infused memory foam within a quilted, cooling fabric. This gives a pillowtop-like texture.
The Alexander Signature Hybrid is offered in three firmness settings: Plush (3), Medium (5) and a Luxury Firm (8). Firmness level is measured on a scale of 1-10, with 1 being the least firm and 10 being the most firm. You can choose between Plush, Medium, and Luxury firm. Weight is crucial on what you would prefer. Generally, heavier people fare better with firmer mattresses while lighter people usually discover they can obtain more hug and contour on softer mattresses.
Hybrids usually don’t isolate movement as well as all-foam mattresses typically do, because inner-springs permit motion to more easily move through the surface of the bed. The Alexander Signature Hybrid, however, has various foam layers above its inner-springs. These layers help the mattress absorb movement to a significant extent. As soon as I moved next to my colleague, you could not identify much motion in her body. She detailed that she could feel the movement, but it was minimal. Despite this, the bed still features great bounce.
In case you have mobility problems, moving around while lying down may be difficult. Traditional memory foam frequently caused so much sinkage that it made it challenging to move around. However, if you have too much rebound, it’s easy to disturb sleep.
You may encounter some sinkage with the Alexander Signature Hybrid due to its plush foam uppermost layers. But this sinking feeling differs from what you would obtain with a more conventional memory foam bed as it is reduced by the bed’s supportive individually-wrapped coil system. This means you’ll sink, but will still be able to move around easily and get out of the mattress without too much work. While there’s some sinkage here, it’s not as striking as it would be on a conventional memory foam mattress. This creates exceptional pressure relief without that stuck-in-the-bed feeling.
The inner-spring coil support foundation of the Alexander Signature Hybrid works to reinforce its perimeter. This produces an even sleeping surface across the whole bed and helps prevent sinkage and sagging at the edge of the bed. The inner-spring coils are exceptional at setting that strong base you need. When I moved in a variety of positions, I felt fairly well-supported. I can feel and you can actually witness where I do sink in a little bit, but the sinkage from the mattress suddenly ends where the inner-spring coils start. In spite of the plush foam top layers, this bed is very supportive, due to the 8 inches of individually-wrapped coils at its foundation. It is super effortless to get in and out of the bed, and I’m well–supported when I lay on the border, a great asset for sleeping spouses.
The Alexander Signature Hybrid sleeps relatively cool. The inner-spring coils permit ample airflow, helping to reduce body warmth. The foam layers, which normally trap warmth, are infused with cooling gel and copper to prevent this frequent issue. This bed is a great fit for people who need to sleep cool. This hybrid does a fantastic job of dispersing and isolating heat, leading to a sleeping feeling that is marvelously cool.

After an Alexander Signature Hybrid mattress is made, it’s compressed, vacuum-sealed in plastic and delivered to your front door in a marked box. Whenever a mattress is compressed and vacuum-sealed, it tends to have a temporary smell when it is opened. This odor is called “off-gassing.” You can expect to see this with the Alexander Signature Hybrid, but the smell should disappear right away.
