In my opinion, the Alex Signature Series (memory foam) and the Alex Signature Hybrid are impressive mattresses, especially given the price.

The three different firmness options of the Alexander Signature Hybrid all make use of the same basic structure, but with somewhat varying foams and densities. Each bed begins with 8 inches of individually-pocketed support coils. The second layer is 1 inch of “SmartFlow” support polyfoam, that is intended to improve airflow and helps with heat retention. Each firmness level utilizes 3 PCF (lbs per cubic foot foam in this layer. The following layer is 1.5” of either 2.5 PCF copper-infused “Energex” polyfoam (Plush), 3.5 PCF copper-treated Energex polyfoam (Medium) or 4.5 PCF slow-recovery memory foam (Luxury Firm). The final layer is 1.5 inches of “TitanChil” cooling polyfoam. The mattress cover is 1.5” of 4 PCF gel-infused memory foam within a quilted, cooling fabric. This provides a soft texture.
The Alexander Signature Hybrid is offered in three firmness levels: Plush (3), Medium (5) and a Luxury Firm (8). Firmness level is measured on a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being the least firm and 10 being the most firm. You can pick between Plush, Medium, and Luxury firm. Weight is going to make an impact on what you would prefer. Generally, heavier people prefer firmer mattresses while lighter people generally find they can obtain more hug and shape on plusher beds.
Hybrids do not isolate movement as well as all-foam mattresses usually do, due to the fact that springs permit motion to more easily transfer across the surface of the bed. The Alexander Signature Hybrid, however, has various foam layers above its springs. These layers aid the mattress absorb movement to a sizeable extent. As soon as I moved next to my partner, you couldn’t identify much motion in her body. She detailed that she could feel the movement, although detection was minimal. In spite of this, the mattress still features great bounce.
In case you have mobility issues, moving around while lying down may be challenging. Traditional memory foam frequently caused so much sinkage that it made it hard to move around. However, if you have too much rebound, it’s easy to disturb sleep.
You may encounter some sinkage using the Alexander Signature Hybrid due to its plush foam top layers. However, this sinking feeling differs from what you’d obtain with a more traditional memory foam bed as it is mitigated by the mattress’ supportive individually-wrapped coil system. Meaning you’ll sink, but will still have the ability to move around easily and get out of bed without too much problem. While there is some sinkage here, it’s not quite as dramatic as it would be on a normal memory foam bed. This creates great pressure relief without that stuck-in-the-bed experience.
The inner-spring coil support core of the Alexander Signature Hybrid functions to reinforce its perimeter. This produces a flat sleeping surface across the whole bed and helps prevent sinkage and sagging around the perimeter of the bed. The spring coils are excellent at setting that solid core you require. When I moved in a variety of positions, I felt fairly well-supported. I could feel and you can actually see where I do sink in a little bit, but the sinkage from the mattress ends where the coils begin. Despite the soft foam top layers, this bed is impressively supportive, due to the eight inches of pocketed coils at its core. It is very easy to get in and out of the bed, and I am well–supported when I lie on the edge, a big advantage for sleep partners.
The Alexander Signature Hybrid is quite cool. The spring coils allow adequate airflow, assisting to reduce body heat. The foam layers, which in most cases trap heat, are treated with cooling gel and copper to offset this frequent issue. This bed is a fantastic pick for people who need to rest cool. This hybrid does a wonderful job of isolating and dispersing heat, leading to a sleeping experience that is marvelously cool.

Once an Alexander Signature Hybrid mattress is manufactured, it is compressed, vacuum-sealed in plastic and delivered to your front door in a marked box. Every time a mattress is compressed and vacuum-sealed, it has a tendency to produce a temporary odor when it’s unboxed. This odor is called “off-gassing.” You should expect to experience this with the Alexander Signature Hybrid, but the odor should disappear right away.
