Additionally, the Latex Mattress is available in three firmness levels. The ‘Soft w/topper’ model has a comfort layer built from soft Dunlop latex, in addition to a 3 inch Dunlop latex topper. This model is more expensive due to the addition of the topper. The ‘Medium’ and ‘Firm’ options go without the topper; the ‘Medium’ has a soft Dunlop latex comfort layer and a firm Dunlop latex support center, while the ‘Firm’ uses a firm Dunlop latex comfort layer and a soft Dunlop latex support core.
In my opinion, the Alex Signature Series (memory foam) and the Alex Signature Hybrid are great mattresses, especially at their price points.

The three distinct firmness levels of the Alexander Signature Hybrid all use the same general construction, but with somewhat different foams and densities. Each bed starts with 8 inches of individually-pocketed support coils. The second layer is 1 inch of “SmartFlow” support polyfoam, that is made to improve airflow and aids with heat retention. Each firmness level uses 3 PCF (lbs per cubic foot foam in this layer. The following layer is 1.5 inches of either 2.5 PCF copper-infused “Energex” polyfoam (Plush), 3.5 PCF copper-treated Energex polyfoam (Medium) or 4.5 PCF slow-recovery memory foam (Luxury Firm). The final layer is 1.5” of “TitanChil” cooling polyfoam. The bed cover is 1.5” of 4 PCF gel-infused memory foam inside a quilted, cooling cloth. This gives a pillowtop-like feel.
The Alexander Signature Hybrid is produced in three firmness levels: Plush (3), Medium (5) and a Luxury Firm (8). Firmness level is based on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the firmest and 1 being the least firm. You can choose between Plush, Medium, and Luxury firm. Weight is crucial on what you would prefer. Generally, heavier people prefer firmer mattresses while lighter people generally discover they can obtain more hug and shape on plusher beds.
Hybrids usually don’t isolate motion as well as all-foam beds usually do, because springs permit motion to more easily move through the surface of the bed. The Alexander Signature Hybrid, though, has various foam layers on top of its springs. These foam layers help the bed absorb motion to a sizeable extent. As soon as I tossed and turned next to my spouse, you couldn’t see much movement in her body. She mentioned that she could feel the movement, although it was minimal. In spite of this, the mattress still displays exceptional bounce.
In case you have mobility problems, moving around while lying down may be difficult. Traditional memory foam frequently caused so much sinkage that it made it challenging to move around. However, if you have too much rebound, it’s easy to disturb rest.
You may encounter some sinkage using the Alexander Signature Hybrid because of its plush foam top layers. But this sinking feeling is different from what you’d receive with a more conventional memory foam mattress as it is mitigated by the mattress’ supportive individually-wrapped coil system. This means you’ll sink, but will still have the ability to move around easily and get out of the mattress without too much problem. While there’s some sinkage here, it’s not quite as dramatic as it would be on a normal memory foam bed. This makes for exceptional pressure relief without that stuck-in-the-bed experience.
The inner-spring coil support core of the Alexander Signature Hybrid works to fortify its perimeter. This gives a level sleeping surface across the whole bed and helps prevent sinkage and sagging at the edge of the mattress. The spring coils are great at providing that solid core you require. When I moved in various positions, I felt pretty well-supported. I can feel and you can actually witness where I really do sink in a little bit, but the sinkage from the mattress abruptly ends where the inner-spring coils begin. Despite the soft foam uppermost layers, this mattress is impressively supportive, due to the 8 inches of individually-wrapped coils in its base. It’s super easy to get in and out of the mattress, and I’m well–supported when I lie on the border, a great plus for sleep partners.
The Alexander Signature Hybrid is quite cool. The inner-spring coils allow adequate airflow, helping to reduce body warmth. The foam layers, which usually trap heat, are treated with copper and cooling gel to prevent this frequent issue. This mattress is a great fit for those who want to sleep cool. This hybrid does a wonderful job of isolating and dispersing heat, resulting in a sleeping experience that’s marvelously cool.

After an Alexander Signature Hybrid mattress is made, it’s compressed, vacuum-sealed in plastic and delivered to your doorstep in a marked box. Every time a mattress is compressed and vacuum-sealed, it tends to emit a temporary odor when it is unboxed. This odor is called “off-gassing.” You should anticipate to experience this with the Alexander Signature Hybrid, but the odor should disappear fast.
