Furthermore, the Latex Mattress is available in 3 firmness options. The ‘Soft w/topper’ variant features a comfort layer made with soft Dunlop latex, in addition to a 3 inch Dunlop latex topper. This variant is more pricey because of the addition of the topper. The ‘Medium’ and ‘Firm’ variants go without the topper; the ‘Medium’ uses a gentle Dunlop latex comfort layer and a firm Dunlop latex support core, while the ‘Firm’ has a firm Dunlop latex comfort layer and a gentle Dunlop latex support center.
In my opinion, the Alex Signature Series (memory foam) and the Alex Signature Hybrid are great mattresses, especially at their price points.

The 3 different firmness options of the Alexander Signature Hybrid all make use of the same basic structure, but with somewhat different foams and densities. Each mattress begins with 8 inches of individually-wrapped support coils. The next layer is 1 inch of “SmartFlow” support polyfoam, that is made to add airflow and aids with heat retention. Each firmness level uses 3 PCF (lbs per cubic foot foam in this layer. The following layer is 1.5 inches of either 2.5 PCF copper-treated “Energex” polyfoam (Plush), 3.5 PCF copper-treated Energex polyfoam (Medium) or 4.5 PCF slow-recovery memory foam (Luxury Firm). The final layer is 1.5 inches of “TitanChil” cooling polyfoam. The bed cover is 1.5” of 4 PCF gel-infused memory foam within a quilted, cooling cloth. This provides a soft texture.
The Alexander Signature Hybrid is available in three firmness levels: Plush (3), Medium (5) and a Luxury Firm (8). Firmness level is measured on a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being the least firm and 10 being the firmest. You can select between Plush, Medium, and Luxury firm. Weight is crucial on what works for you. Generally, heavier people fare better with firmer mattresses while lighter people generally find they can obtain more hug and contour on softer mattresses.
Hybrids usually do not isolate movement as well as all-foam mattresses typically do, because springs permit movement to more easily transfer across the surface of the mattress. The Alexander Signature Hybrid, though, has several foam layers above its springs. These foam layers help the bed absorb motion to a large extent. As soon as I tossed and turned next to my partner, you could not see much motion in her body. She mentioned that she could feel the movement, but detection was minimal. Despite this, the bed still possesses impressive bounce.
If you have mobility issues, moving around while lying down may be challenging. Classic memory foam often caused a lot of sinkage that it made it challenging to move around. But if you have too much bounce, it’s easy to disturb sleep.
You may experience some sinkage using the Alexander Signature Hybrid due to its soft foam uppermost layers. However, this sinking feeling differs from what you’d achieve with a more conventional memory foam bed as it is reduced by the mattress’ supportive individually-wrapped coil system. This means you will sink, but will still have the ability to move around conveniently and get out of bed without too much problem. While there is some sinkage here, it’s not as striking as it would be about a typical memory foam mattress. This creates exceptional pressure relief without that stuck-in-the-bed feeling.
The inner-spring coil support core of the Alexander Signature Hybrid works to fortify its edges. This provides a level sleeping surface across the whole bed and helps prevent sinkage and sagging around the perimeter of the mattress. The spring coils are exceptional at setting that strong base you need. When I moved in various positions, I felt very well-supported. I could feel and you can actually witness where I do sink in a quite a bit, but the sinkage from the bed ends where the coils begin. In spite of the plush foam top layers, this bed is extremely supportive, thanks to the 8 inches of pocketed coils at its foundation. It is very effortless to get in and out of the bed, and I am well–supported when I lay on the border, a big benefit for sleeping partners.
The Alexander Signature Hybrid is relatively cool. The spring coils permit sufficient airflow, aiding to reduce body warmth. The foam layers, which normally trap heat, are treated with copper and cooling gel to counteract this frequent issue. This bed is a great fit for those who need to sleep cool. This hybrid does a great job of dispersing and isolating heat, resulting in a resting experience that’s marvelously cool.

Once an Alexander Signature Hybrid mattress is made, it’s compressed, vacuum-sealed in plastic and delivered to your doorstep in a marked box. Every time a mattress is compressed and vacuum-sealed, it has a tendency to produce a temporary odor when it is unboxed. This smell is called “off-gassing.” You can expect to experience this with the Alexander Signature Hybrid, however, the odor should dissipate fast.
100 Night Sleep Trial
Nest offers a 100 night sleep trial on all their mattresses. The company expects that you keep the bed for at least 30 days prior to initiating a return. If you’re unhappy with the mattress for any cause at any stage between 30 to 100 days, you can agree to return or donate it for a complete refund of the purchase price. Any delivery costs will not be refunded. If you decide to go the refund path, Nest Bedding will arrange for the mattress to be taken and donated to a local charity. You willl only have to provide proof that the bed has indeed been picked up and the company will give you a full refund. Nest Bedding White Glove
Nest Bedding Warranty
The Alexander Signature Hybrid, together with the rest of the Nest mattresses, have a limited lifetime guarantee. The warranty is non-prorated, so the organization will pay to replace or fix any faulty mattresses, no matter how old it is. In addition to the lifetime guarantee, Nest also offers what they call a Lifetime Comfort Guarantee, which is pretty exceptional. Basically, once the trial period ends, if you abruptly decide you don’t like the Nest Hybrid, the company permits you to exchange the item to get a firmer, softer, smaller or larger variant
