Alexander Hybrid Luxury Contour: The Alexander Hybrid Luxury Contour highlights a comfort layer containing 3 layers: a cover made of 2.5 PCF copper-treated, phase-change gel memory foam; a middle layer of 3 PCF polyfoam; and a base layer of 4 PCF memory foam. The support core is constructed with a high-density polyfoam edge reinforcement and pocketed.
Hybrid Latex: The Hybrid Latex model has one layer of Dunlop latex in the comfort layer. The support core is designed with individually-wrapped coils and a bottom layer of 1.8 PCF high-density polyfoam. The cover is made from a blend of wool and cotton.
Latex Mattress: The Latex Mattress is offered in ‘Blended Latex’ and ‘Organic Latex’ designs; the models have the same general structure, but vary significantly in terms of price-point with the Organic option being more expensive. Additionally, the Latex Mattress is offered in three firmness levels. The ‘Soft w/topper’ model features a comfort layer built from soft Dunlop latex, as well as a 3 inch Dunlop latex topper. This model is more expensive because of the inclusion of the topper. The ‘Medium’ and ‘Firm’ variants go without the topper; the ‘Medium’ has a soft Dunlop latex comfort layer and a firm Dunlop latex support center, while the ‘Firm’ has a firm Dunlop latex comfort layer and a gentle Dunlop latex support core.
In my opinion, the Alexander Signature Hybrid and the Alexander Signature Series (memory foam) are exceptional mattresses, especially at their price points.

The three varying firmness settings of the Alexander Signature Hybrid all use the same general construction, but with somewhat varying densities and foams. Each mattress starts with 8 inches of individually-pocketed support coils. The next layer is 1 inch of “SmartFlow” support polyfoam, that’s made to increase airflow and assists with heat retention. Each firmness level makes use of 3 PCF (lbs per cubic foot foam in this layer. The following layer is 1.5 inches of either 2.5 PCF copper-treated “Energex” polyfoam (Plush), 3.5 PCF copper-treated Energex polyfoam (Medium) or 4.5 PCF slow-recovery memory foam (Luxury Firm). The last layer is 1.5” of “TitanChil” cooling polyfoam. The mattress cover is 1.5” of 4 PCF gel-infused memory foam within a quilted, cooling fabric. This gives a gentle feel.
The Alexander Signature Hybrid is available in three firmness settings: Plush (3), Medium (5) and a Luxury Firm (8). Firmness level is measured on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the firmest and 1 being the least firm. You can select between Plush, Medium, and Luxury firm. Weight is important on what you would prefer. Generally, heavier people prefer firmer beds while lighter people usually find they can get more hug and contour on plusher beds.
Hybrids usually do not isolate movement as well as all-foam beds typically do, due to the fact that springs permit movement to more easily transfer across the surface of the mattress. The Alexander Signature Hybrid, however, has various foam layers above its inner-springs. These foam layers help the mattress absorb motion to a large extent. When I turned and tossed next to my colleague, you couldn’t see much movement in her body. She detailed that she could feel the movement, but detection was minimal. Despite this, the bed still exhibits good bounce.
If you have mobility issues, moving around while lying down may be difficult. Classic memory foam frequently caused a lot of sinkage that it made it challenging to move around. But if you have too much rebound, it’s easy to disturb rest.
You may face some sinkage with the Alexander Signature Hybrid due to its plush foam top layers. But this sinking feeling differs from what you’d receive with a more conventional memory foam mattress as it is mitigated by the bed’s supportive pocketed coil system. This means you’ll sink, but will still be able to move around conveniently and get out of bed without too much problem. While there’s some sinkage here, it is not as striking as it would be on a typical memory foam bed. This makes for exceptional pressure relief without that stuck-in-the-bed experience.
The inner-spring coil support base of the Alexander Signature Hybrid works to fortify its perimeter. This provides an even sleeping surface across the entire bed and helps prevent sagging and sinkage at the perimeter of the bed. The inner-spring coils are excellent at providing that solid base you need. When I moved in a variety of positions, I felt very well-supported. I can feel and you could actually witness where I really do sink in a little bit, but the sinkage from the mattress ends where the inner-spring coils begin. Despite the soft foam uppermost layers, this bed is extremely supportive, due to the 8 inches of individually-wrapped coils in its core. It’s quite effortless to get in and out of the bed, and I’m well–supported when I lay on the border, a big plus for sleep partners.
The Alexander Signature Hybrid is quite cool. The inner-spring coils allow sufficient airflow, aiding to diminish body warmth. The foam layers, which usually trap heat, are infused with copper and cooling gel to prevent this common issue. This bed is a great pick for people who prefer to sleep cool. This hybrid does a wonderful job of isolating and dispersing warmth, resulting in a sleeping experience that is marvelously cool.

Once an Alexander Signature Hybrid mattress is manufactured, it’s compressed, vacuum-sealed in plastic and sent to your front door in a box that is marked. Every time a mattress is compressed and vacuum-sealed, it has a tendency to emit a temporary smell when it is opened. This smell is known as “off-gassing.” You can expect to experience this with the Alexander Signature Hybrid, but the smell should fade fast.
100 Night Sleep Trial
Nest Bedding offers a 100 night sleep trial on the Alexander Signature Hybrid. The company expects that you maintain the mattress for at least thirty days prior to initiating a return. If you are unhappy with the bed for any reason at any point between 30 to 100 nights, you can agree to donate or return it for a full refund of the price. Any delivery costs will not be refunded. If you opt to go the refund route, the company will arrange for the mattress to be picked up and donated to a nearby charity. You’lll only have to give evidence that the bed has indeed been picked up and the organization will issue you a full refund. Nest Bedding Yelp Reviews
Nest Bedding Guarantee
The Alexander Signature Hybrid, along with the rest of the Nest Bedding mattresses, have a limited lifetime warranty. The warranty is non-prorated, which means the company will pay to fix or replace any defective mattresses, no matter how old it is. In addition to the lifetime guarantee, Nest also offers what they call a Lifetime Comfort Guarantee, which is pretty exceptional. Basically, when the trial period expires, if you suddenly choose you don’t like the Nest Hybrid, the company allows you to exchange the product to get a softer, firmer, larger or smaller variant
